Zoe Hart

IFMGA GUIDE - SPEAKER- COmmunity Builder

Journey

Mountain Guide, climber, skier, kite surfer, skateboarder, storyteller, activist, environmentalist, writer, mother of 2 boys, avid reader, aspiring painter and more. Zoe has spent her adult life chasing adventure in a variety of forms around the world.

Teacher, guide, leader, facilitator, producer, speaker, creator, founder of non-profits, Zoe’s happy place is in action, in motion.

Born in New York City, and raised in New Jersey, after discovering the majesty of alpine sunrises, and the Flow of 15+ hour mountain days, Zoe traded in her traditional lifestyle, and division one sports, to learn how to ski and become the 4th American Female IFMGA certified mountain guide. Now calling Chamonix, France home for more than 20 years.

Over the past two decades the one constant has been the pure joy of adventure, pushing past what you think is possible, in a variety of forms. From Mountain Guide, to Professional Alpinist, to Mother, to Environmental Activist, each iteration of this journey has held one thread - embracing to the unknown, managing doubt, confronting fear, and openness to where life leads you without a clear vision of the path.

From First Ascents on Icy North Faces and 43 hour non-stop pushes, to Bite sized adventures with her kids. From breaking down gender barriers, to founding environmental initiatives. Zoe’s powers of community building, networking, project management, inspiring action, and finding the convoluted path from impossible to possible are ever present.
